Recently,a few people have accused me of being a bit too arrogant and egotistical. Of course, these are people who are simply internet acquaintances. They don't at all know me, and have never met me in real life...or else I'm certain they'd know I'm really neither of those things. Well,usually. Alright, some of the time. In fact, when it comes right down to it, I am the most modest and humble person I know...*lol*
And then it occurred to me that perhaps I really am arrogant and a complete egotist, so why not put it to use in order to encourage much-needed traffic to my pages? After all, I know alot of people, and yet I am forced to hang my head in shame when I look at my weekly site statistics. Perhaps that's because there's really nothing of interest on my humble personal page. Perhaps it is, as one devoted admirer of my site wrote, "a glorified list of links with pictures of loser dead chicks." (Yes, literary genius simply cannot be suppressed!:-) In any case,my page can use all the help it can get...and, in the words of Stephen Sondheim, "You've gotta get a gimmick, if you want to get ahead..."
The result of this whole episode is this page, soon to be the pride and joy of my *~ Enchanted Kingdom ~*..and,with the help of my friends at the *~ Broadway Cafe ~*, we are out to make Internet history. :-) There are a great many pages out there devoted to begging...everyone wants people to send them money,postcards,Beanie babies,free samples,AOL floppy disks,rubber duckies,and yes,even Kool-Aid. I am really quite an unmaterialistic girl, and I am not asking you to send me any of these things. The thing I'd most like from you is far more precious than any of those things, and it's absolutely free.
The thing I am asking of you is the gift of your love. It is my endeavour to build the largest shrine of unashamed egotism on the World Wide Web...however, I can't accomplish this without the love and support of all of you. All I ask is that you send me anything that expresses your love and admiration for me (and,yes,even your hate mail and criticisms are welcome! *lol*).....simply send me your e-mail,your virtual cards,your virtual flowers,your propositions,your marriage proposals,your love poems,your portraits of me, or anything else that will help to build my ever-so-fragile sense of self-esteem. I will add your greetings to this page, and in time, I am certain that this will be a place where egotism runs freely. I know there is a page out there trying to top the world record for the most e-mail received. I am not nearly that ambitious. I simply have an overwhelming need to feel loved and accepted by the world (and to promote the many pages I contribute to...*lol*).
So,please, do take the time from your busy schedules to bring a smile to someone's face. Send your expression of love,friendship,admiration,and respect to LadyGuenevere@seductive.com.
